Peaceful paradise

What a beautiful place. The staff are so welcoming and kind, good food, a true paradise. Do not hesitate to book if staying in cheweng. We loved it.

A slice of heaven in chaotic Chaweng

We had struggled to find somewhere that looked perfect and had initially ruled out Chaweng as being too busy but read that the Anavana end of the beach was quiet. The area outside the hotel is what you would expect from a small Thai town, laundry, massage etc. I had a good pedicure in the place directly opposite. It’s about 10 mins into chaotic central Chaweng and fisherman’s village. The hotel itself is beautiful. Once you enter the reception area the staff are warm, friendly and efficient. The grounds are spectacular, constantly being maintained with a little stream running through with HUGE koi in several pool areas. We had bungalow 103, near pool and restaurant but set back enough to feel really private. The bungalows are a good size with nice terrace area and chairs. Bed comfortable and generous bathroom with covered outside opening into bathroom which was quirky. It right on the beach so having breakfast and lunch is a pleasure. Breakfast staff lovely, Lek remembered our drinks order after just one day. Happy hour 5-7pm. Good value. Loved our bar man but didn’t get his name - he makes the best white wine coolers. Beach access, there are plenty of sunbeds, towels provided and iced water regularly topped up. Beautiful beach and sea warm. Food in restaurant was good with guest discount. We also had a spa massage which was also lovely and the staff super friendly. We couldn’t have a late checkout but a shower room and towels were provided. The hotel also provides complimentary airport pick up and drop off. We had been travelling for 2 weeks prior to arriving in Koh Samui so this was the perfect chilled end to our trip. Not connected to hotel at all but we did see iguanas being used as photography props in fisherman’s village. Please be aware that tourists should not support this exploitation of animals.

Amazing family stay

We have had a fantastic week at the Anavana Beach Resort in Chaweng. Beautifully appointed and clean rooms, amazing pool and well maintained beaches made for a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Service second to none. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back. Thanks very much the Anavana team 😁

Unbelievable!

We can not figure one thing out that is negative… this was beyond our expectations! - the BEST staff ! They are all so lovely - superclean rooms - lots of towels - big rooms and great beds - the food was soooo good! - enough sunbeds, staff helps with that and gives cold water at the beach. - this massage was the best! Thank you lovely Dollar. This was one of our best holidays ever! We will definetly once come back. You guys did your best to give us this warm feeling. Thank you so much, lovely reg Stephanie Dimitry and girl Tess Btw they were so lovely with Tess! She loves all of you.

How Anavana Became Part of an Unexpected AI Experiment

When I was planning this holiday, I asked AI I had been training for over a year to recommend somewhere that fitted exactly what I needed after an incredibly demanding year —a place where I could genuinely switch off, recharge and breathe again. It suggested Anavana Beach Resort. At the time, I was dubious as I had built it but I trusted it and booked it without hesitation. I bet that's a first!! Now, having spent time here, I realise AI got something very important right—but probably not for the reason it thought. Yes, the resort is beautiful. The chalet are wonderful, the beach is stunning, the food is great and every part of the property is lovingly cared for. But none of those things are what made this holiday so special. The people did. Every member of the team made me feel genuinely welcome. Not because they had to, but because they genuinely cared. Whether it was remembering the little things, stopping for a friendly chat or quietly going above and beyond without making a fuss, every interaction felt authentic. This holiday came at exactly the right moment for me. I arrived exhausted after a relentless year, needing somewhere to disconnect from work and simply be present again. Thanks to everyone at Anavana, that's exactly what happened. I also leave taking a little of Anavana's and Thailand's wonderful "Mai Pen Rai" philosophy home with me—a reminder not to worry quite so much about the little things. People often say that when somewhere truly captures your heart, you leave a little piece of yourself behind. I know I certainly have. To everyone at Anavana—thank you. AI may have brought me to you, but you are the reason I'll come back. You probably don't realise it, but over the last 10 days you didn't just create a wonderful holiday - you became part of a story I'll be telling for a very long time. Perfect Thai hospitality

We stayed for a week at Anavana Beach Resort in July 2026 and it was fantastic: very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful beach, comfortable accommodation, peaceful surroundings. I thoroughly recommend a visit.
